The Otis Instruments, Inc. WireFree Model OI-WF190B (the Beast) Combustible Gas Sensor Assembly is an innovative wireless gas detection system designed to monitor gas in hostile environments without the use of wires or conduit from the controller to the sensor.

The Beast is a self-contained, battery operated sensor assembly that measures LEL. The sensor functions by transmission of radio wave messages to the OI-WF784 (or any receiving controller).

The device is field adjustable for background gas and addressable to eliminate interference with other systems. The Beast's key feature is non-intrusive calibration. With all adjustments made at the sensor assembly, one-man non-intrusive calibration is quick, easy, and allows the sensor housing to remain Class I, Division 1, Group C and D certified while in the field.Non-intrusive calibration is made possible by using an Otis Instruments, Inc. distributed magnet to activate the MENU, ADD and SUB buttons.

Features such as the relay/alarm tests and battery voltage indication make this device a truly remarkable gas detection system.
