The Otis Instruments, Inc. Model OI-715 Single Channel Rack Mount Gas Detection Controller is specifically designed to monitor and display a 4 to 20mA signal transmitted from a sensor/amplifier assembly. The device is able to detect toxic combustible gases and oxygen levels in ambient airs, and activate alarms for the safety of operating personnel. The device was designed with several unique features to meet the needs of various applications. Each OI-715 provides three alarm levels that, when activated, are indicated by Front Panel LEDs. Each alarm level is independent, may be adjusted full-scale, and can be set to either latching or non-latching. In addition, each alarm can be tested individually or collectively using the Front Panel Alarm Reset/Test button. The OI-715 incorporates a model-specific relay board containing six 20 Amp fused relays that can be wired normally open or normally closed. The device can be powered by an AC or DC power source and is housed in a standard 19-inch rack for up to 16 controllers. For smaller systems, an 8-inch rack is used, and/or multiple controllers can be wired together. The OI-715 provides maximum system flexibility, reliability, and ease of use and maintenance.
